LUMINA is a fully integrated scientific image intensifier that mounts in front of the sCMOS or CCD camera you already use. It adds single-photon sensitivity, nanosecond-scale gating, and cooled dark-count suppression — without replacing the camera or optical path you rely on.
Every component of the Lumina Intensifier is designed around real research needs — from long low-light integrations to demanding beam-time environments.
Atomic layer deposition coating on the dual-stage chevron MCP is designed to extend tube lifetime and support faster channel recharging at high count rates. (Figure to be confirmed against Photek datasheet.)
Customer-exchangeable 1:1 (25 mm) or 1:2 (40 mm) relay optics, F0.9, without factory service. C-mount front for standard input lenses; illuminates sensor formats up to 1 inch.
Optional photocathode cooling reduces dark count rate by up to 500×, down to roughly 10 photons/cm²/s — built for photon counting, coincidence imaging, and long low-light integrations.
Electro-optical photocathode gating for time-domain imaging, background rejection, and synchronised acquisition against a pulsed source.
Integrated high-voltage supply and programmable gain control. No external power supplies or gate drivers needed.
Deployed at neutron beamlines and synchrotron facilities, where equipment must withstand harsh environments across extended beam-time campaigns. Delivered in a rugged Pelicase for safe transport worldwide.
Base configuration includes a 1:1 relay lens. Cooling and fast gating are available as factory-fitted upgrades. Typical lead time is under 4 weeks from order.
Prices exclude all customs duties and taxes. Shipments outside the EU may be subject to export control approval.
